ESPURNA DE VENT DO EMPORDÀ

Traditional blend made mainly with red Grenache and Carignan varieties, fermented in stainless steel to extract the most of the character of the region that has the influence of the Mediterranean Sea and soils of the Sierra de Rodes.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VINEYARD

Wine made in the DO Empordà. When Sumarroca winery wanted to make wine in the denomination of origin Empordà, it searched for an area in which the imprint of the ground makes the wine well defined. We chose the area of ​​Pau, in the Alt Empordà region, located near the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Sierra de Rodes, which guarantees a wide range of land, from coarse sand to slate and granite, with diversities and different specificities in the characteristics of the wines.

TASTING NOTES

Ripe cherry colour with violet edges. Intense and fruity flavour with a raspberry and cherry jam aroma. In the mouth it is soft and velvety with an elegant intensity of raspberries and cherries. Over balsamic notes mouth freshening wine arise. The finish is long and fruity, with notes of cherry jam.

PRODUCTION

The vinification process of the varieties is done separately. Maceration in tanks for 15 days to extract the maximum varietal characteristics. Alcoholic fermentation at 26 ° C and subsequent malolactic fermentation at 20 ° C. Kept in its lees until the time of bottling.
